Senior Automation Engineer

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Automation & Framework Development

• Design, develop, and maintain

  robust automation frameworks

  for web and API testing.
• Create automated test suites for

  web applications, APIs, and microservices

  .
• Architect framework components and establish

  automation best practices and standards

  .
• Implement and enhance

  BDD frameworks

  using

  Cucumber with Gherkin syntax

  .

API, Database & Functional Testing

• Perform

  API automation testing

  for RESTful services using JSON/XML.
• Conduct

  database testing and validation

  by writing complex SQL queries.
• Execute

  functional, integration, and regression testing

  .
• Validate backend workflows and data consistency across systems.
  

Agile & CI/CD Integration

• Lead

  in-sprint automation

  aligned with Agile delivery cycles.
• Integrate automation suites with

  CI/CD pipelines

  using

  Jenkins and GitHub Actions

  .
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps teams.
  
• Support continuous testing strategies to enable faster and more reliable releases.
  

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work effectively with

  globally distributed teams

  across multiple time zones.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on automation best practices.
  
• Participate in code reviews and continuously improve automation quality.
  
• Contribute to test strategy, estimation, and planning activities.
