Senior Auditor

The Senior Auditor at McDermott plays a crucial role in guiding financial, operational, business process, or compliance audits worldwide. As an individual contributor, you will report to the Senior Manager, Audit. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing Finance and Operational process audits, Project audits, and SOX/ICFR controls. You will also be tasked with identifying opportunities for implementing data analytics in the assigned testing, expressing ideas for enhancing audit testing, developing automated tests, and preparing customizable audit programs. Effective interaction with various levels of management, preparation of formal audit reports, and adherence to audit documentation standards are essential aspects of this role. Furthermore, you will evaluate corrective actions taken by management, demonstrate the ability to travel domestically and internationally, and perform other duties as assigned by Audit Management. To qualify for this role, you need an undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from an accredited institution. Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, CPA, or CIA are mandatory, while additional qualifications like CISA or CFE would be advantageous. You must have 4 to 8 years of finance and operational auditing experience in multinational companies and/or big 4 accounting firms, preferably in the Oil & Gas EPC or contracting sector. International experience is a plus. The ability to work independently, lead audit engagements, excellent report writing and communication skills, advanced Excel proficiency, experience with data analytics/visualization tools, and familiarity with audit software like Audit Board are also required.
