Position Overview


The Senior Associate Loan Administration plays a critical role in managing the post-closing loan lifecycle. This position ensures accurate setup, monitoring, servicing, and reporting of loans while maintaining compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and client agreements. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure smooth loan operations.

Key Responsibilities

Loan Setup & Onboarding

  • Review executed loan agreements, term sheets, and amendments to ensure proper loan setup.
  • Accurately input and validate loan data in the loan administration system.
  • Coordinate with the loan operations, credit, and legal teams to confirm complete and compliant documentation.

Loan Servicing & Monitoring

  • Manage loan drawdowns, repayments, interest calculations, and fee processing.
  • Monitor covenant compliance and track borrower obligations.
  • Maintain detailed records of payment schedules, interest rate changes, and outstanding balances.
  • Respond promptly to borrower inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

Portfolio Management & Reporting

  • Assist in preparing periodic reports for internal stakeholders, clients, and regulators.
  • Support portfolio reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger entries.
  • Identify variances and ensure accuracy of financial and operational reporting.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and company policies.
  • Monitor operational risks, escalate issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in audit preparation and respond to internal and external audit requests.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Liaise with relationship managers, credit teams, legal, and operations for smooth loan servicing.
  • Provide support in client communication regarding loan terms, payments, and compliance status.
  • Train and mentor junior associates in loan administration processes.

Qualifications & Skills

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or professional certifications (CFA, CPA, FRM) preferred but not mandatory.

Experience

  • 36 years of relevant experience in loan administration, credit operations, or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of syndicated loans, corporate lending, and loan servicing systems.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in loan administration software (LoanIQ, ACBS, or similar).
  • Strong Excel and financial data analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (RBI, Basel, IFRS/GAAP) is a plus.
