Job Description

The ideal candidate is a passionate, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who is committed to the success of our customers. You will focus on growing and developing existing clients, as well as generating new business by identifying, implementing, and executing new strategies.

What will you be doing

  • Drafting and reviewing various legal & commercial agreements including negotiating and ensuring closure of such agreements
  • Provide legal advice to human resource and other business units concerning a broad range of labour and employment issues worldwide including business transition, outsourcing of employees, structuring employee benefits and incentives in line with the applicable laws and prevailing best practices to ensure good governance.
  • Provide guidance to business teams (including marketing, social media, etc) on industry specific laws.
  • Research on legal aspects relating to various relevant topics (like advertising laws, content laws, copyright laws, publicity rights, information technology laws, trademarks, etc.)
  • Lead and drive changes in contracts-related processes where appropriate, developing templates for a diverse range of agreements, such as sales, vendor and partnership agreements, end user facing terms, advertiser and marketing agency agreements, etc.
  • Liaison with external parties (consultants, local counsels, etc) to drive the charter.
  • Assisting in administration/enforcements of systems and processes to ensure contracts meeting legal and Glance policy requirements with employees, business partners, sourcing, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Handling disputes (drafting and replying to legal notices etc.) & general compliance (corporate and other statutory compliances)
  • Monitor changes and updates to employment laws and advise of developments that may affect the company in several jurisdictions.

What is expected out of you

  • Qualified law graduate from India
  • 4/5 years PQE with experience in contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiating general commercial contracts.
  • Should have understanding & knowledge in the area of employment and related laws.
  • Familiarity with consumer facing platforms, particularly media space/ new age tech platforms.
  • Preference for in-house experience working with a global company/large technology environment with teams in India and other geographic locations.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally.
