Senior Android Developer(Mobile development in Android and Kotlin)

Role & responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and deploying software in the Android and Kotlin.
• Developing user interface components and implementing them by following design architecture and best practices.
• Communicating with Customer and engineering leads to implement business and project objectives.
• Code review of team members' commits as part of CI/CD cycle.
• Participate in testing, quality assurance and bug fixes as part of the CI/CD cycle.
• Performing advanced troubleshooting, and evaluating new technologies to optimize the development process and product output.

Preferred candidate profile

• Advanced proficiency in Kotlin and Java, RxJava, including modern features like coroutines.
• Jetpack components (e.g., Room, Hilt, Navigation).
• Master in architectural patterns like MVVM and SOLID principles, with a strong grasp of dependency injection along with Events handling.
• Expertise in Material Design guidelines, Jetpack Compose, and implementing complex, interactive UIs.
• Experience with RESTful APIs for data integration and handling JSON/XML data.
• Proficiency with Firebase for backend services like authentication, database (Firestore/Realtime Database), and cloud messaging.
• Strong skills in database management, including SQL and Room.
• Experience with networking libraries like Retrofit.
• Local & Peer-to-Peer Communication: Proficiency with local device communication protocols and APIs: a) Bluetooth & Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
• Implementing and managing connections for wearables, IoT devices, etc. b)Wi-Fi Aware/Direct: For high-throughput peer-to-peer connections without an intermediary access point. c) USB Accessory/Host Mode.
• Understanding how Android devices can communicate with peripheral hardware via USB.
• TCP/IP Fundamentals: Deep knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, UDP, and how to handle network security (e.g., data encryption).
• Knowledge on Swift programming, using Xcode for development and debugging, and building user interfaces with frameworks like SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Knowledge on Flutter and Dart.
