The primary purpose of this role is to help Lowe s become more efficient at managing our Transportation Operations and serving our internal customers by facilitating a center of excellence for data, analytics, insights, and reporting. In this role you will help drive the competitive advantage and assist Lowe s to model our transportation network by becoming a modeling expert.
You will gain analytical and technical proficiencies as you design and help model our network and drive continuous improvement across Lowe s. You will work closely with the broader Supply Chain Team to understand requirements and provide analytical solutions, consulting and deliver business value.
This role leverages multiple resources, advanced analytic methodologies and data streams to support recommendations for business decisions. This individual will lead strategic initiatives by collaborating across teams, if necessary, to solve identified business problems by gathering requirements and translating them into meaningful problem statements.
The individual is expected to deliver results with high quality, timeliness and efficiency while identifying and implementing best methods and industry standards along the way. In addition, the individual will also support the team with process trainings within the team.
To be successful, the individual in this role must have a strong understanding of analytical techniques and disparate data sources - both internal and external, and strong domain expertise.
Roles & Responsibilities:

- Develop skills to become an internal Super User of the Blue Yonder system
- Create and run simulations in Blue Yonder Transportation Modeling tool to evaluate different scenarios and predict outcomes
- Drive projects and initiatives that are of high priority to Supply Chain and deliver them as per timelines.
- Provide data, analytics, insights, and reporting expertise in support of transportation data flow, volume forecasting, rate optimization, load planning, non-retail movements, parcel, ecommerce, freight pay, lane analysis, carrier performance and real time metrics.
- Utilize your knowledge on how to best leverage disparate data sources, relevant external data and strong domain expertise, in order to deliver on the needs of the transportation team.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses supporting a vast array of business scenarios.
- Leverage your technical & analytical skills to perform analytical and project work ultimately ensuring a high-quality deliverable that provides impactful as well as actionable insights to improve our network optimizations.
- Translates a business question into a quantifiable problem statement and then collect, clean, transform and restructures data for mathematical or statistical analysis.
- Translates the results of your mathematical or statistical analysis back into business terms, present the findings and solutions in a comprehensible manner to the team before delivering the results to senior leadership so they can take necessary action.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure deliverables are completed on time
- Responsible to continuously learn, share and implement new analytical methodologies and techniques.

- Responsible for building best practices within the TMS and maintaining and improving the maintenance of the tool and optimization parameters
- Learn the Lowe s transportation network and the various modes and business we serve and identify areas where we have opportunity to model different scenarios
Years of Experience:
Overall 6+ years of Experience
- 6 years of experience in JDA TMS/T-MOD
- 5 years experience in Transportation, Logistics management
- 1-2 years experience reporting and data analytics
- 1-2 years experience of project management
Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)
Required Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or Related Field
- MBA or master s degree in supply chain
Skill Set Required
Primary Skills (must have)
- Knowledge of transportation planning principles and practices
- Supply Chain Management Expertise
- Transportation network modeling experience
- Experience in Data mining and visualization tool such as Power BI, SQL, Python and Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities
- Strong systems acumen
- Working knowledge of transportation operations
- Ability to manage and manipulate large data sets for use in analytical tools
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
- Experience with Python and Knime Analytics
Secondary Skills (desired)
- Previous experience as a TMS super user, especially Blue Yonder or JDA
