Senior Agronomist

PureYield, a fast-growing Agri-Tech startup and sister concern of PureGrid Renewables, isa fast-growing Agri-Tech startup, based in Jaipur, committed to transforming agriculture through innovation and sustainability. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Agronomist to lead our agronomy initiatives, support farmers with data-driven insights, promote modern and climate-resilient farming practices. Retired professionals with relevant experience are also warmly welcomed

Qualification & Experience

• Master’s degree or PhD in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science or related field
• 8 + years of experience in agronomy or crop science, preferably with exposure to startups or rural innovation projects
• Proven track record in managing large-scale crop programs or Agri-projects
• Strong understanding of dryland/rainfed agriculture and regional cropping patterns
• Communication skills in Hindi and English; knowledge of Rajasthani dialects is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement agronomic strategies to optimize crop yield and quality in arid and semi-arid regions
• Conduct field trials, soil and water testing and crop health monitoring
• Provide technical guidance on irrigation, fertilization, pest control and crop rotation
• Train field officers and farmers on best practices, sustainable inputs and new technologies
• Monitor crop performance, analyze data and generate actionable insights
• Track environmental impact and ensure regulatory compliance
• Prepare detailed reports and recommendations for management

Preferred Skills

• Experience with organic or regenerative agriculture
• Ready to travel across rural Rajasthan
• Entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving attitude
