Roles and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Prepare and record entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses.
• Summarize the current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Analyze financial information, spot errors, and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.

Accounting and Auditing:

• Maintain the general ledger by transferring group accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist with annual audit preparations and complete external audits.
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Maintain and record fixed assets.

Compliance and Internal Controls:

• Ensure compliance with

  Income Tax, GST

  , and other legal requirements.
• Calculate and submit tax returns.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Team and People Management:

• Plan, assign, and review the work of accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
• Manage and mentor the team to ensure high-quality work.
• Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.

Skills Required

• Education:

  A

  B.Com/M.Com

  is required.

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in preparing financial reports and statements.
• Strong knowledge of

  Income Tax, GST

  , and other legal compliance requirements.
• Expertise in maintaining the general ledger and reconciling accounts.

Leadership and Management:

• The ability to plan, assign, and manage the work of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
