Job Description

Job Title: Senior Accountant – Manufacturing & Power Sector ProjectsCompany Overview: We are a well-established company with over 25 years of excellence in supplying and providing specialized services to Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) in the power sector across India. Our operations span procurement, technical service support, and turnkey supply to leading power utilities nationwide. Location: Kolkata Experience Required: Minimum 5 years Industry Preference: Manufacturing (Rubber industry experience preferred) Key Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day accounting entries and financial transactions in Tally ERP. Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B) on a monthly basis. Maintain books of accounts, ledgers, and reconciliations in compliance with accounting standards. Monitor vendor and customer accounts, prepare invoices, and handle basic tax computations. Search and evaluate suitable tenders on the GeM portal and other government procurement platforms. Coordinate with internal departments for documentation, quotation submissions, and compliance requirements. Desired Candidate Profile: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or related discipline. Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and taxation within a manufacturing company. Prior experience in the rubber industry will be an added advantage. Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP and GST compliance. Familiarity with GeM portal tender processes and government procurement guidelines. Good communication and organizational skills.
