Senior Accountant

You will be joining a 50-member accounts team as a Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant at our factory in Prabhagiripatnam Village, Podalakur Mandal, Nellore-AP. This is not a work from home position. Your role will involve accounting experience in Purchase and Production, working under the leadership of the CFO (FCA) and several other CAs. **Key Responsibilities:** - Possess good analytical skills to review BOM and costs associated with production. Ensure production is in accordance with BOM, review deviations, and document them. - Ensure appropriate approval and documentation of Inventory movement at all levels. Conduct surprise checks for compliance and submit inspection reports to management. - Collaborate with plant heads, department heads, and warehouse managers to understand operational issues related to Inventory movement and documentation in the factory. - Valuation and review of Work-in-Progress at month-end, reporting to management at HO and the plant. - Monitor and reconcile daily scrap accumulation and disposals at the Factory. - Review and track material sent for Job work, rework, and its accounting. Coordinate with the Sourcing team and Factory stores for accurate accounting and documentation. - Analyze consumption of Factory consumables, monitor costs to reduce wastages. - Get books of Accounts audited by Cost auditors, ensure compliance with cost accounting principles. - Execute cycle counts for Inventory at various locations, reconcile with books of accounts. - Ensure appropriate tagging and periodic physical verification of Fixed Assets for 100% verification throughout the year. - Handle Petty Cash and Tour Advances, review plant expenses. - Actively participate and support in Statutory audit of Financials, Internal audits, and liaise with auditors. - Ensure adherence to internal controls, identify errors, gaps, inefficiencies, and propose new controls or update SOPs as necessary. - Perform general accounting operations, control and verify financial transactions and supporting documents. - Experience with any ERP system is required, hands-on experience with Microsoft NAV ERP is an added advantage. - Flexibility in taking up additional tasks assigned by your manager or CFO. **Qualification Required:** - Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 3 years of post-articles experience. - Thorough knowledge of accounting standards on Inventory purchases and production at a Manufacturing facility. - Experience in managing or collaborating with a team of accountants.
