Job Summary

The Academic Counsellor will be responsible for guiding students throughout the admission process, understanding their career goals, recommending suitable training programs, and ensuring a smooth transition from enquiry to enrolment. The role involves both academic advising and sales-oriented counselling to meet admission targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel prospective students and parents about institute courses and career opportunities.
• Manage telephonic, walk-in, and online enquiries effectively.
• Maintain follow-up with interested candidates through calls, WhatsApp, and emails.
• Provide accurate information about course structure, duration, fees, and placement support.
• Help students identify the most appropriate training program based on their interests and background.
• Handle student registration and documentation during the admission process.
• Coordinate with the academic and placement teams for student progress and feedback.
• Achieve monthly admission targets set by management.
• Participate in promotional activities, seminars, and career counselling sessions.
• Maintain proper data records in CRM or Excel format.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English & Hindi mandatory; Bengali preferred).
• Strong convincing ability and result-oriented approach.
• Pleasant personality and confident public speaking.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, Social Media handling).
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and achieve targets.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in any discipline (Education, Management, or Communication preferred).
• Prior experience in counselling, sales, or education will be an added advantage.

Experience Required

• Freshers with strong communication skills are welcome.
• Experienced candidates (1–3 years) in academic counselling or admission roles will be preferred.
