About the Role

Senior 3D Animator

Key Responsibilities

Animation Creation

Animate characters, creatures, and props for
cinematic storytelling sequences
.
Deliver realistic body mechanics, expressive facial animation, and dynamic acting choices.
Refine and polish
performance capture data
when required.

Cinematic Storytelling

Work closely with directors to translate storyboards and previs into compelling animation.
Use timing, staging, and camera awareness to enhance dramatic impact.
Ensure animation quality holds up under
close-up, 4K+ renders
.

Pipeline & Collaboration

Collaborate with rigging, modeling, and lighting teams to ensure seamless integration.
Troubleshoot animation and rigging issues during production.
Contribute to pipeline improvements and animation workflows.

Requirements

2+ years of professional experience in
film, AAA game cinematics, or feature animation
.
Strong portfolio/demo reel showcasing
cinematic-quality animation
(acting, body mechanics, facial performance).
Proficient in
Autodesk Maya
(primary animation tool).
Experience working with
motion capture data
and refining it for final delivery.
Strong understanding of
weight, timing, posing, and performance-driven animation
.
Ability to collaborate in a
fast-paced, film-style production environment
.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of
Unreal Engine Sequencer
or real-time animation pipelines.
Familiarity with
facial rigging/blendshapes
.
Experience with
creature animation
(quadrupeds, fantasy creatures).
Scripting (Python/MEL) for animation tools or workflow automation.
