Venafi Engineer - Skills

Technical Expertise:

• Operating Systems

  : Extensive experience in Windows and Linux/Unix Server Administration.

• Scripting

  : Proficient in Bash and PowerShell scripting for automation and system management.

• Certificate Management

  : Hands-on experience with TLS/SSL certificate management applications such as:
  • Venafi
  • Sectigo Certificate Manager
  • DigiCert
  • Key Factor

• Automation

  : Ability to design and implement automation solutions for certificate renewal and provisioning using Venafi APIs.

• Cloud Integration

  : Skilled in integrating automated certificate delivery to platforms like:
  • Azure Key Vault
  • AWS Certificate Manager (ACM)
  • Various cloud services.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and act on renewal notifications and manage alerts for high-critical production applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues during major incidents, including participating in on-call rotations and performing production changes/validations during off-hours.

Tools and Technologies:

• CICD Tools

  : Experience with Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions for automation and deployment.

• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)

  : In-depth knowledge of PKI concepts and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs).

• LDAP Administration

  : Proficient in LDAP infrastructure management.

Agile Development:

• Experience working in Agile development teams, contributing to iterative processes and delivering solutions efficiently.
