Duties and Responsibilities of Security Staff 1. Patrolling the premises day and night at regular intervals (every 2 to 3 hours). 2. Monitoring surveillance equipment and ensuring proper functioning. 3. Controlling access for visitors and staff, and responding promptly to any emergencies. 4. Maintaining the following registers: Log Book, Vehicle Register, DG Set Register, Dispatch Register, Housekeeping Staff Register, and In/Out Movement Register. 5. Maintaining the Security Attendance Register. 6. Opening and closing all doors and windows on every floor in the morning and evening. 7. Ensuring that all ACs, fans, and lights are switched off before closing the doors and windows. 8. Checking the water level in the sump and overhead tank every day. 9. Ensuring that there is no water logging in the basement area daily. 10. Avoid using mobile phones during duty hours. 11. Reporting any incidents immediately to the concerned person. 12. Monitoring car and two-wheeler parking areas. 13. Informing the concerned person in advance while applying for leave. 14. “Security staff must frequently observe and inspect the kitchen staff and the surrounding areas.” 15. Long leaves are not advisable; however, management may permit them under valid reasons. 16. Reporting any issues related to electricity, water sump motor, or water supply to the concerned person immediately. Note: In the first shift, the security staff should hand over the duty properly. The next reliever must check everything and only then take over the duty. All details should be explained during the handover. The second shift security staff should also follow the same procedure.
