A packing staff is responsible for packaging of food items for storage and shipment following strict safety and quality guidelines at every step. Key Responsibilities: 1. Product handling and preparation: Receive finished products from production/quality teams Check product condition for damages, defects or contaminations Ensure correct product, batch and quantity before packing 2. Packing Activities: Pack products in appropriate packing materials (pouches, boxes, trays, cartons, etc.). Operate packing machines if required (sealing machine, shrink-wrap, vacuum packing, etc.). Ensure correct weight, count, and labeling for each pack. Maintain uniformity and quality of packing. 3. Labelling & Coding: Apply correct labels (price, barcode, batch number, expiry/manufacturing dates). Verify that coding machines are printing accurately. Ensure compliance with customer and export specifications. 4. Quality & Safety Compliance Follow hygiene and sanitation standards as per food safety guidelines (FSSAI, HACCP). Wear required PPE (gloves, cap, mask, apron). Keep the packing area clean, organized, and free from contamination.
