Security Operations Engineer (Entry-Level)

Role Summary

As a Security Operations Engineer, you will be the first line of defense for our AI SaaS platform. You’ll

monitor systems, investigate alerts, and help keep our cloud infrastructure secure. This is an entry-level

role designed for someone with curiosity, technical skills, and a passion for cybersecurity. You’ll work

directly under the CISO for guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor logs, alerts, and incidents across AWS/GCP/Azure and SaaS platforms.

• Perform first-level investigation of suspicious events and escalate as needed.

• Assist with vulnerability scanning, patch management, and certificate renewals.

• Maintain and tune firewall rules, IDS/IPS (e.g., Wazuh/Falco).

• Automate basic security tasks using scripts (Python/Bash).

• Contribute to incident documentation and response exercises.

• (Added Advantage) Perform basic penetration testing or exploit validation for

misconfigurations and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• 0–2 years experience in IT, DevOps, or security-related roles.

• Familiarity with Linux, cloud environments (AWS/GCP), and networking basics.

• Exposure to SIEM tools (Splunk, ELK, Wazuh) preferred but not required.

• Bonus: Familiarity with pentesting tools (Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, OWASP ZAP) or

CTF experience.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting mindset.

• Passion for security and eagerness to learn.

Growth Path

Progression to Cloud Security Engineer, Security Automation Specialist, or Offensive Security

Engineer (AppSec/Pentest) as you develop skills.
