Job Description

About the Role:

In this role, you will be responsible for continuous monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and mitigation to safeguard our IT infrastructure from cyber threats. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our security posture and ensure rapid and effective response to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor security alerts and events from various sources including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint security tools.
Perform real-time analysis of security incidents and coordinate incident response activities.
Investigate and analyze suspicious activity, potential breaches, and vulnerabilities.
Conduct threat hunting exercises to proactively identify threats.
Escalate and document incidents following established incident management procedures.
Collaborate with IT, network, and application teams to remediate security issues.
Maintain and update security tools, playbooks, and detection rules.
Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing initiatives.
Keep abreast of emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
Support compliance efforts with security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
Provide regular security reports and metrics to management.

Preferred Skills:

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC (GCIH, GCIA) preferred.
Experience with threat intelligence platforms and feeds.
Familiarity with cloud security monitoring (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of compliance standards such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, or SOC
Experience with vulnerability management tools and processes.
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and respond swiftly to incidents.
