Job Title: Security Operations Manager (with Market Sales Experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking a versatile and results-driven Security Operations Manager who blends deep cybersecurity expertise with strong commercial acumen. This role demands leadership in security operations alongside active participation in market-facing initiatives such as client engagement, sales enablement, and strategic positioning. Exceptional report writing and presentation skills (MS PowerPoint) are essential to influence stakeholders and drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities

Security Operations

  • Lead and manage daily SOC operations, including incident response, threat intelligence, and detection engineering.
  • Oversee performance of the Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring rapid triage and resolution of security incidents.
  • Manage third-party security tools and vendors to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Operate and optimize next-generation SIEM and detection platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Google SecOps, Palo Alto XSIAM, SentinelOne, and Splunk.
  • Prepare detailed security reports and dashboards for executive leadership and regulatory bodies.

Market Sales & Business Enablement

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to position cybersecurity offerings in the market.
  • Support pre-sales and post-sales engagements by translating technical capabilities into business value.
  • Engage with clients to understand their security needs and propose tailored SOC solutions.
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategies, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support revenue growth through strategic security initiatives.

Reporting & Presentation

  • Create clear, concise, and impactful reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate security metrics, risk assessments, and strategic plans.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership, clients, and cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in market-facing roles such as sales engineering, business development, or client consulting.
  • Strong understanding of SOC technologies including SIEM, SOAR, EDR, UEBA, IAM, and firewalls.
  • Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other MS Office tools.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are a plus.
