Summary: As a Security Engineer, you will apply your security skills to design, build, and protect enterprise systems, applications, data, assets, and people. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to implement security measures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with security policies. You will also engage in proactive monitoring of systems to identify vulnerabilities and respond to potential threats, all while maintaining a focus on safeguarding information and business processes against cyber threats. Roles & Responsibilities: - Maintain and support enterprise encryption services for data at rest, in transit, and transactional data. - Implement and manage PKI infrastructure, including certificate lifecycle operations. - Troubleshoot and resolve PKI infrastructure issues. - Support HSMs and symmetric key management systems. - Work with database encryption technologies like Native and Transparent Data Encryption. - Evaluate upgrades and new technologies for encryption solutions. - Prepare and maintain technical documentation. - Assist with audit and compliance documentation. - Handle certificate management requests within SLA. - Monitor and troubleshoot PKI services. - Support Global Key Custodian and PKI Vetter programs. - Participate in incident response and evidence gathering. Professional & Technical Skills: - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects under pressure. - Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset. - Experience with security event monitoring systems. - Knowledge of emerging technologies and system integration for security platforms. Additional Information: - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, or related field. - Minimum 4 years of combined IT and security experience in multi-platform environments, or 8 years of related work/military experience. - Strong understanding of cryptography fundamentals and PKI architecture. - Familiarity with Venafi, KeyFactor, and other certificate automation and key management tools. - Experience with security protocols, operating systems, and database protection. - Knowledge of security frameworks, incident response, and application security best practices. - Understanding of HIPAA and other IT standards and policies.
