Section Head Project & Engineering Biotech Drug Substance

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the engineering operation of the Biotech Drug Substance plant and green & brown field Projects at Zydus Biologics, located in Biotechpark, Ahmedabad. Your role will involve ensuring uninterrupted utilities to achieve plant targets, maintaining audit readiness of all plants, and presenting monthly performance reviews to the Department Head. Additionally, you will participate in cross-functional team meetings, prepare OPEX & CAPEX budgets, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and corporate policies. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the engineering operation of the Biotech Drug Substance plant and projects, with a good understanding of biotech processes and equipment used in Upstream and downstream processing - Provide engineering support to ensure uninterrupted utilities and achieve plant targets - Maintain audit readiness of all plants by ensuring environmental conditions in clean rooms, equipment functionality, and plant upkeep - Present monthly performance reviews to the Department Head, covering energy consumption, breakdowns, manpower utilization, project updates, timelines, and budget reviews - Participate in cross-functional team meetings and collaborate with other departments - Prepare OPEX & CAPEX budgets, ensuring no overruns due to oversight - Ensure Good Engineering Practices are followed in the plant and during project execution - Enforce a zero-tolerance policy for data integrity issues in the department - Review engineering systems periodically and make corrective revisions as necessary - Ensure compliance with all regulatory & statutory requirements at the plant and projects - Implement EHS initiatives to improve the EHS monthly index score - Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives on-site and projects - Implement corporate policies and initiatives at the site Qualifications Required: - Mechanical or Chemical Engineer - 18-20 years of experience, with 8-10 years in Biotech Drug Substance industry,
