Section Head Engineering

Role Overview: As a Section Head of Engineering at Zydus Biologics in Ahmedabad, you will be responsible for overseeing engineering operations, managing projects, and leading the engineering team towards achieving organizational goals in the biotech field. Your role will involve driving efficiency in biotech engineering processes, ensuring seamless execution of key projects, and managing cross-functional communication. You will collaborate with other departments to optimize operations and uphold industry standards in biotech engineering. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee engineering operations of the Biotech Drug Substance plant and green & brownfield projects - Provide engineering support and uninterrupted utilities to achieve plant targets - Ensure all plants are audit-ready in terms of environmental conditions, equipment functionality, and plant upkeep - Present monthly performance reviews to the Department Head regarding energy consumption, breakdowns, manpower utilization, and project timelines & budget - Participate in cross-functional team meetings - Prepare OPEX & CAPEX budgets and ensure no overruns - Ensure Good Engineering Practices are followed at all times - Implement a zero-tolerance policy for data integrity issues - Review engineering systems periodically and make corrective revisions if required - Ensure compliance with all regulatory & statutory requirements - Implement EHS initiatives and improve EHS monthly index score - Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives on site and projects - Implement corporate policies and initiatives on site - Ensure GMP compliance in all plants Qualification Required: - B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Additional Company Details: The Zydus Group is a global life-sciences company with a workforce of over 27,000 employees worldwide.
