About the Role

The Section Head – Accounts role is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, managing the accounts team, enforcing compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and overseeing key processes such as accounts payable/receivable, tax filings, and credit control.

The ideal candidate will have 12–18+ years of post-qualification experience (depending on educational background), strong knowledge of accounting principles, and prior experience in the manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of financial statements
• Managing the accounts team
• Enforcing compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS)
• Overseeing key processes such as accounts payable/receivable, tax filings, and credit control
• Liaising with banks for guarantees and transactions
• Resolving vendor/customer payment issues
• Mentoring the accounting team to uphold best practices
