Job Description

Role: Sheet metal parts development and evaluation Failure analysis in Sheet metal Responsibility: Knowledge of manufacturing process of Sheet metal parts BIW part evaluation failure analysis. Technical guidance to vendor for Sheet metal parts manufacturing process. Sheet metal stamping , welding and material technical know how should be available. Part Process evaluations preferable for new product development. Analysis of Part Quality issues countermeasure planning. New product development activity planning Planning for zero defect production lines setup at Vendors. PFMEA and required actions planning with vendors. Advance Quality planning for new parts development. Analysis of part quality issues countermeasure planning for mass production models Competency Requirements: Knowledge of Sheet metal Stamping Welding process Expertise in checking fixture welding fixture design concept generation. Good understanding of raw material spec usage areas. Effective problem solver with skill to lead root cause investigation. Practical application of Quality Control Tools, including theoretical background of SPC, Analytical tools and Six sigma. Working Knowledge of Tools / Dies various inspection aids (gauges /Jigs / Fixtures / Test Rigs, Etc.). Clear Good communication skills. Ability to work in lean, multi tasking environment. Ability to handle the product situation independently. Specific Expertise for Functional Area: Should be well versed with various sheet metal manufacturing processes like Stamping Spot welding, etc. Having experience in Automobile Industry (4/2 wheeler / LCV ) Knowledge about the checking fuxture concept Computer environment proficiency is essential for proper Documentation, presentation and its data retrieval. (MS office). Openness positive attitude to work in team Good understanding of Failure /Root cause analysis Eligibility: Education: Essential: B.Tech. (Mech) - Full Time
