Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Manual SDS authoring and development for chemical products
Hazard classification and risk assessment using weight-of-evidence methodology
Regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions
Data collection and toxicological interpretation
SDS maintenance and updates based on regulatory changes
Quality assurance and documentation management
Stakeholder communication and internal guidance

Technical Competencies

Chemical hazard classification (physical, health, environmental)
Toxicological data interpretation
Technical writing for compliance documentation
Advanced MS Office skills
Familiarity with SDS authoring software platforms (WERCS, Chemwatch, SDSpro, etc.) preferred but not required

Preferred candidate profile

Master's degree in relevant field
AIHA SDS and Label Authoring Registry certification
6+ years of SDS authoring experience
Prior experience with EU compliance frameworks (REACH, CLP)
Knowledge of supply chain compliance and product stewardship
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
