As an SDET Java at Wipro, you are required to have 5 to 10 years of experience in software test automation using Java/J2EE. You should have a strong grasp of OOP concepts, design patterns, recursive and non-recursive programming, method overloading, method overriding, and various Java collections like ArrayList, Vector, serialization, HashSet, among others. A minimum of 3 years of automation experience is essential, with an overall experience exceeding 5 years. Deep hands-on coding skills with Selenium WebDriver, BDD, and JavaScript are crucial, along with proficiency in framework development. Experience in API automation using RestAssured or Selenium is mandatory. Familiarity with CI/CD practices using Maven, GitHub, Jenkins, and TestNG is crucial, as well as experience in continuous test automation with Jenkins or Azure DevOps. Enabling in-sprint automation and familiarity with Automation Life Cycle activities such as feasibility studies, estimations, and proof of concepts are necessary. Strong communication skills are important for effective collaboration. Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Ansible/Chef, Docker, MongoDB, Spring Boot, Nexus/JFrog, etc., is a plus. Exposure to code quality tools and AI/ML concepts is advantageous. Experience with non-functional testing, including performance testing, accessibility testing, and visual testing, is desirable. Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering practices is also a plus. The work locations for this position include Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, and Hyderabad.
