The Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at our organization plays a crucial role as the subject matter expert for all aspects of software development testing. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be at the forefront of integrating complex project testing plans within an Agile (Scrum) framework to ensure the validation and verification of high-quality software solutions. Your enthusiasm for modern technology, coupled with your ability to identify and resolve intricate problems, will drive your success in this role. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around automated testing, with manual testing being conducted as necessary. You will be tasked with designing, developing, and documenting application test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications across all client product offerings. Collaboration with our DevOps team to automate 100% of regression tests, creation and maintenance of test coverage for client Web applications, and defining testing methodologies for projects of varying sizes will also be key aspects of your role. As a seasoned SDET professional with 5+ years of experience in a web-based software development environment, you will bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Experience in performance and API testing using tools like LoadRunner, WebLOAD, or Apache JMeter, familiarity with CodeceptJS testing framework, and proficiency in using GitHub are essential qualifications for this position. Additionally, expertise in Ruby and Javascript test libraries, test automation in CI/CD workflows, and hands-on experience with commercial databases and containerized environments will be advantageous. In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to conduct exploratory testing on client applications, prioritize testing tasks, scenarios, and test cases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile environment. Your ability to identify, log, and track defects, along with conducting thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved, will be critical to the success of our projects.
