Job Summary:

SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test)

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient automation frameworks for web and API testing.
  
• Develop and execute automated test scripts using

  Java, Selenium, and REST Assured

  .
• Perform API testing, database validation, and integration testing using

  SQL

  .
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.
  
• Actively participate in code reviews, test case reviews, and contribute to improving test strategies and processes.
  
• Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with the development team for timely resolution.
  
• Ensure test automation is integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
  
• Continuously enhance the automation framework to improve efficiency, reusability, and coverage.
  
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation and quality engineering.
  

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with

  Java

  programming.
• Proficient in

  Selenium WebDriver

  for web UI automation.
• Experience in

  API testing using REST Assured

  .
• Good working knowledge of

  SQL

  for backend data validation.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, test design, and automation strategies.
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or similar.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  

Good to Have:

• Experience in developing custom test automation frameworks from scratch.
  
• Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter (optional).
  
• Knowledge of BDD tools like Cucumber (optional).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Relevant certifications in Automation Testing or Java (preferred but not mandatory).
