SDET - Automation

In this role at HowNow, you will have the opportunity to implement all aspects of non-functional testing from scratch, providing you with hands-on experience and the chance to shape the testing framework. Your day-to-day tasks will include: - Collaborating with Product Managers and Developers to understand requirements and ensure thorough test coverage. - Writing and executing manual and automated test cases to validate product functionality and quality. - Developing and maintaining automated test scripts using Playwright with TypeScript. - Assisting in creating and enhancing automation frameworks for UI and API testing. - Automating test scenarios for functional and regression testing. - Performing API testing using tools like Axios with Playwright and TypeScript. - Assisting with the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Writing SQL queries for database validation and testing. - Analyzing test results, identifying bugs, and collaborating with the development team for resolution. - Learning and implementing best practices in testing and automation to continuously improve test coverage and efficiency. The key qualifications we are looking for in applicants are: - 2-5 years of experience in software testing, including automation testing. - Hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript for UI automation. - Basic knowledge of API test automation using Axios or similar tools. - Familiarity with writing and maintaining automation frameworks (experience building frameworks is a plus). - Knowledge of version control systems like GIT. - Experience in manual testing and a good understanding of QA processes. - Exposure to CI/CD platforms and a basic understanding of their role in automation. - Ability to write basic SQL queries for database validation. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. - A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
