SDE II / III (Backend Engineering)

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services using Java Spring Boot, Vert. x and contribute to scalable microservices design.
• Implement APIs and backend workflows for media processing, metadata handling, and playback features.
• Work closely with Product, QA, and DevOps to deliver robust, production-ready features.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, peer reviews, and best practices.
• Participate in sprint planning, effort estimation, and continuous improvement activities.
  

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in Java backend development using Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Microservices architecture, and event-driven systems.
• Exposure to GCP or AWS cloud platforms, experience with Kafka, Redis, or Pub/Sub is a plus.
• Good understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and other DevOps tools.
• Knowledge of media streaming, DRM, or OTT backend architecture is a plus.
