PRDGY is India’s first black-only streetwear label, rooted in dark humour, meme culture, and raw Indian realism. We specialise in bold, limited-edition drops that challenge the norm and make a statement. As we scale our production capabilities, we’re building our own in-house screen printing department, and we’re looking for a skilled individual to lead it. Role Overview We are hiring a Screen Printing Expert to set up, operate, and manage the entire screen printing function within PRDGY. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will be responsible for every aspect of screen printing, from preparing screens to ensuring print quality, and managing production timelines. You’ll work closely with our design and production teams to bring our artwork to life on garments. Key Responsibilities End-to-End Management: Oversee the setup, daily operations, and maintenance of the screen printing unit Screen Preparation: Handle the creation of screens using emulsions, exposing artwork, and washing/curing Printing Execution: Operate manual or semi-auto screen printing machines with precision Quality Control: Ensure sharp, durable, and consistent print output on black fabrics Material Management: Maintain inventory of inks, screens, tools, and chemicals Team Coordination: Hire/train helpers if needed and ensure workflow efficiency Process Improvement: Develop SOPs, optimise processes, reduce wastage Design Collaboration: Work with design team to experiment with techniques, textures, and placements Safety & Maintenance: Ensure the workspace is clean, safe, and machines are well-maintained Requirements Proven experience in garment screen printing (manual or semi-auto) Strong knowledge of emulsions, mesh count, ink types, curing methods Ability to troubleshoot printing issues independently Eye for detail and consistency in colour and registration Passion for streetwear/fashion is a big plus Willingness to experiment and adapt to our brand’s unconventional style Preferably based in Kolkata or open to relocate What You’ll Get Creative freedom to build and run the department your way Opportunity to be part of a bold, growing streetwear movement Chance to work on designs that reach celebs and creators
