Job Title: Principal
Location: Velammal Nexus School – Hosur Branch
Reporting To: Correspondent – Velammal Nexus Group
Department: Academics & Administration
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview:

The Principal is the academic and administrative leader responsible for driving academic excellence, student discipline, staff development, and overall campus operations. The ideal candidate must embody the vision and values of the Velammal Nexus group, ensuring high standards in teaching, learning outcomes, and stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities: Academic Leadership:

  • Ensure curriculum delivery as per Velammal Nexus standards and NEP framework.
  • Oversee planning and implementation of annual academic plans, assessments, and co-curricular activities.
  • Drive performance-based outcomes for students and teaching staff.
  • Regularly monitor student progress and implement remedial measures.

Administrative Management:

  • Supervise daily school operations, infrastructure maintenance, safety, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with HR, finance, and administrative departments for smooth functioning.
  • Manage budget planning, resource allocation, and procurement approvals.
  • Maintain updated records and documentation as per CBSE/affiliation guidelines.

Staff Supervision & Development:

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and performance appraisal of teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Conduct regular training, workshops, and reviews to improve staff effectiveness.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Student Discipline & Welfare:

  • Foster a disciplined, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Counsel students and parents in matters related to behavior, academics, and growth.
  • Monitor student attendance, punctuality, and well-being.

Parent & Community Engagement:

  • Maintain transparent and timely communication with parents via PTMs, reports, and updates.
  • Represent the school at local community and educational forums.
  • Build rapport with stakeholders to uphold the school’s brand and reputation.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualification: Master’s Degree (preferably in Science/English/Mathematics) with B.Ed./M.Ed.
  • Experience: Minimum 12–15 years of experience in academics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Principal/Vice Principal/Academic Coordinator).
  • Age: Preferably between 40 to 50 years.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and academic ERPs is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
