The ideal candidate will inspire a love for music in students, develop their musical skills, and contribute to a vibrant performing arts culture within the school. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging music lessons in line with the schools curriculum and student age groups. Teach students how to sing, play musical instruments, and understand music theory, notation, and appreciation. Prepare students for school performances, assemblies, and cultural events. Lead and manage school choir, band, or ensemble groups. Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence through music. Assess and report on student progress and provide constructive feedback. Maintain classroom discipline and a safe, inclusive learning environment. Care for and manage musical instruments and classroom resources. Collaborate with colleagues in planning interdisciplinary and cross-curricular projects. Stay up-to-date with current music education methods and technologies. Qualifications & Requirements: Essential: Bachelors degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field. Proven experience teaching music to children or adolescents. Proficiency in at least one musical instrument (keyboard, guitar, violin, etc.) and vocal training. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to organize and direct student performances. Desirable: Teaching certification (B.Ed or equivalent). Familiarity with music curriculum standards (e.g., CBSE, ICSE, IB, or national framework). Ability to use music software or digital tools in teaching. Experience in composing or arranging music for school events.
