School Librarian

1. Library Management: Organize and manage the school library, including cataloguing books, periodicals, multimedia, and other resources. Develop and implement policies and procedures for library usage and management. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming library environment. 2. Resource Development: Select, acquire, and evaluate library materials to support the curriculum and student interests. Manage the library budget and ensure efficient use of resources. 3. Instructional Support: Collaborate with teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum. Provide guidance on research methods and information literacy. Conduct library orientation sessions and research skills workshops for students. 4. Student Engagement: Promote reading and literacy through programs, events, and activities. Assist students in selecting and locating appropriate materials. Encourage students to develop critical thinking and research skills. 5. Technology Integration: Manage and maintain library software and digital resources. Provide training and support for students and staff on the use of digital resources and technology. 6. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of library usage, inventory, and budgets. Prepare reports and communicate with school administration as required. Supervise library assistants, volunteers, and student workers.
