Scala Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at EY Advisory - Data and Analytics, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise in the Financial Services domain to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and solutions. Your role will involve working with big data ecosystems and cloud technologies like GCP, Azure, or AWS to process large datasets efficiently. Here are the primary skills and key responsibilities for this role: - Strong knowledge in Spark and a good understanding of the Spark framework, including performance tuning. - Proficiency in Scala and SQL. - Hands-on experience in designing and building scalable data pipelines. - Experience with one of the Cloud technologies - GCP, Azure, or AWS. - Flexible and proactive working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to work independently under pressure with minimal supervision. - Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. - Adaptability to new technologies and standards. - Participation in all aspects of the Big Data solution delivery life cycle. Nice to have skills include experience in developing robust and scalable data pipelines using GCP services, familiarity with Hadoop Ecosystem components, working with NoSQL data stores, and experience with schedulers like Airflow or Nifi. To qualify for this role, you must have a BE/BTech/MCA/MBA degree with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in relevant areas and a total of 3-7 years of industry experience. Ideally, you will also have experience in Banking and Capital Markets domains. In this role, you will work with a team of professionals with commercial acumen and technical experience, providing growth, market, and portfolio strategy engagements for corporates.
