Role Overview: You will be joining Polar Racking Inc. as a highly experienced SAT Controller Program Manager. Your main responsibility will be to provide support to the Engineering team by defining program scope, objectives, and deliverables, managing subcontractors, overseeing technical aspects, testing and validation, certification management, risk and issue management, stakeholder communication, documentation and reporting, budget management, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Program Planning and Execution: Collaborate with the VP of Engineering and stakeholders to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop and maintain a detailed program plan, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. - Subcontractor Management: Lead the selection, onboarding, and management of a third-party subcontractor responsible for hardware and software development. Define clear deliverables, monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and manage contractual obligations. - Coordination and Support: Act as the primary liaison between the company and partners, coordinate activities, and provide support to ensure project success. - Technical Oversight: Work closely with the subcontractor's technical team to understand design, development, and integration of hardware and software components. Provide guidance to ensure the controller meets performance and reliability requirements. - Testing and Validation: Develop and oversee testing strategy for the single-axis controller. Coordinate testing activities at various sites and ensure thorough documentation. - Certification Management: Manage the certification process to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, and communicate effectively with the VP of Engineering. - Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for the program, provide regular updates to internal stakeholders, and facilitate effective communication and collaboration. - Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive program documentation, prepare and deliver presentations to management, and prepare regular status reports. - Budget Management: Monitor and control the program budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets. - Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices. Qualification Required: - Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management, or related technical field (Masters degree or PMP certification is a plus). - Minimum 7 years of program or project management experience in hardware/software product development, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or embedded systems. - Strong understanding of hardware and software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and program management tools. - Experience managing complex technical programs involving third-party vendors, working in international environments, and leading cross-functional teams. - Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.,
