Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

PaPM Solution Design & Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end

    SAP PaPM implementation and enhancement projects

  • Design and implement

    cost allocation, profitability modeling, and performance management frameworks

  • Define PaPM calculation logic, processes, and data flows
  • Serve as the

    PaPM subject matter expert (SME)

    across the organization

Functional & Technical Delivery

  • Configure and manage:
    • PaPM environments, models, functions, and processes
    • Allocation, aggregation, and simulation models
  • Develop and maintain:
    • Calculation views, data sourcing, and result layers
    • Complex PaPM functions (e.g., allocation, formula, enrichment)
  • Integrate PaPM with

    SAP S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SLT, and other data sources

Stakeholder & Business Collaboration

  • Work closely with Finance, Controlling, Risk, and Performance Management teams
  • Translate business requirements into scalable PaPM solutions
  • Lead design workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution walkthroughs

Governance, Testing & Support

  • Define PaPM governance, standards, and best practices
  • Lead unit testing, UAT, and production deployment activities
  • Provide production support, issue resolution, and performance optimization

Team Leadership & Mentoring

  • Lead and mentor PaPM analysts and junior consultants
  • Review designs, configurations, and deliverables for quality assurance
  • Support knowledge transfer and documentation initiatives

Required Skills & Qualifications

Core Skills

  • Strong expertise in

    SAP PaPM (on HANA)

  • In-depth understanding of:
    • Profitability analysis
    • Cost and revenue allocations
    • Financial performance management concepts
  • Experience working with

    large data volumes

    and complex calculation logic

SAP & Technical Skills

  • Strong integration experience with:
    • SAP S/4HANA (FI/CO)
    • BW/4HANA or SAP BW
  • Solid understanding of

    HANA modeling and SQL concepts

  • Familiarity with SAP authorization concepts and performance tuning

Preferred / Nice to Have

  • Experience in

    Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance (BFSI)

  • Exposure to

    SAP FPSL

    or

    Group Reporting

  • Knowledge of SAP Analytics tools (SAC, Analysis for Office)
  • SAP PaPM certification

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
