SAP Oil Consultant

The SAP IS Oil Consultant will design, configure, implement, and support SAP solutions for downstream oil and gas processes. The role centers on hands-on work across Trading & Ticketing, Exchanges (EXG), Hydrocarbon Product Management (HPM), and Traders and Schedulers Workbench (TSW). The consultant will translate business needs into fit-for-purpose SAP IS-Oil configurations and ensure stable, efficient operations post go-live. Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Secondary Distribution Management (SDM/S4SCSD) is a plus for clients moving to S/4HANA.

Required Qualifications

• 5-8 years of SAP experience with 5+ years in SAP IS Oil downstream
• Proven hands-on expertise in Trading & Ticketing within SAP IS Oil
• Strong configuration and process knowledge of Exchanges (EXG)
• Strong configuration and process knowledge of Hydrocarbon Product Management (HPM)
• Strong configuration and process knowledge of Trader’s and Scheduler’s Workbench (TSW)
• Experience designing, implementing, and supporting SAP IS Oil solutions
• Experience with testing, UAT, cutover, and post–go-live support
• Good-to-have: SAP S/4HANA Secondary Distribution Management (SDM) / S/4HANA Supply Chain for Secondary Distribution (S4SCSD)

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement SAP IS Oil solutions for downstream processes
• Own and optimize Trading & Ticketing processes in SAP
• Configure and support Exchanges (EXG), HPM, and TSW modules
• Gather and translate business requirements into SAP solution designs and functional specs
• Plan and execute testing (SIT/UAT), cutover activities, and post–go-live hypercare
• Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide production support
• Create solution documentation and deliver user training
• Collaborate with stakeholders and align designs with S/4HANA SDM/S4SCSD where applicable
