Direct Store Delivery (DSD)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end

  DSD operations

  including delivery planning, execution, customer service, and inventory reconciliation.
• Develop and optimize

  route-to-market strategies

  , ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and market coverage.
• Oversee DSD sales execution at the store level, including merchandising, promotions, and stock availability.
• Collaborate with IT and systems teams to support

  DSD solution implementation

  (SAP DSD, handheld/mobile solutions, telematics, route planning tools).
• Drive process improvements in delivery operations, warehouse-to-store connectivity, and real-time order management.
• Manage 3PL partners, transport fleets, and delivery agents, ensuring compliance with KPIs, SLAs, and safety standards.
• Analyze delivery performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization.
• Partner with commercial, finance, and logistics teams to align DSD strategies with business goals.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, food safety regulations, and company distribution standards.
• Lead a team of DSD managers/supervisors and provide strategic direction, coaching, and performance management.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in

  Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration

  or related field. MBA preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in

  DSD operations

  , preferably within

  FMCG

  ,

  Beverage

  , or

  Retail

  sectors.
• In-depth understanding of

  DSD models

  , retail distribution channels, and last-mile delivery operations.
• Hands-on experience with

  SAP DSD

  , route accounting systems, and mobile delivery platforms (e.g., Honeywell, Zebra handhelds).
• Strong knowledge of

  logistics KPIs

  ,

  route optimization

  ,

  fleet management

  , and

  customer service metrics

  .
• Data-driven mindset with proficiency in analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Excellent leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with

  SAP DSD module

  or other ERP-integrated DSD platforms.
• Exposure to

  AI/ML-based route planning

  or

  real-time delivery visibility platforms

• Knowledge of
