Key Responsibilities

• Provide functional and technical SAP support across modules such as SD, MM, FI, or ABAP, with deep hands-on expertise in at least one area.
• Engage with Japanese stakeholders to gather requirements, document business processes, and provide clear solutions.
• Collaborate with global teams, including onsite and offshore consultants, to ensure smooth delivery of SAP projects.
• Translate business needs into effective SAP configurations, customizations, or enhancements.
• Manage issue resolution by troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and delivering timely fixes.
• Work on system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades to improve SAP performance and align with business needs.
• Support ongoing projects by providing technical and functional expertise in SAP modules.
• Ensure all project documentation is clear, concise, and available in both Japanese and English when required.
• Act as a cultural and linguistic bridge between Japanese business teams and global delivery teams.
• Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfers for business users and technical teams.
  

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 7+ years of SAP consulting experience with at least one end-to-end SAP implementation.
• SAP Expertise:
• Strong hands-on expertise in at least one SAP module (SD / MM / FI / ABAP).
• Cross-functional knowledge across multiple modules is preferred.
• Language Proficiency:
• Fluent in Japanese (spoken and written) - Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) certification is mandatory (N2 or N1 preferred).
• Strong command of English for effective cross-border collaboration.
• Technical & Functional Skills:
• Experience in requirement gathering, configuration, enhancements, and testing.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and deliver under tight deadlines.
