Senior Software Engineer – SAP BW

What you will do in this role:

• Provide second-line application support for

  SAP BW

  with specific focus on the

  POSDM

  platform.
• Drive resolution for medium-to-high complexity incidents related to

  data loads, process chains, and job failures

  .
• Execute

  root cause analysis

  ,

  incident management

  , and

  system recovery

  with minimal business disruption.
• Act as a technical mentor to support analysts and ensure

  SLAs and performance metrics

  are met.
• Plan and execute

  application upgrades

  and coordinate production deployments.
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for

  enhancement or automation

  .
• Maintain high-quality documentation and version control for all application changes.
  
• Manage requests and incidents via online ticketing systems following Fossil’s

  RUN policies

  .
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage dependencies across systems like

  ECC, GCP, POSDM, Navision

  .
• Ensure smooth onboarding of applications into the support environment.
  
• Communicate clearly with business users regarding incident impact, timelines, and workarounds.
  
• Provide after-hours support (as needed) and be part of

  on-call rotations

  .
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to cross-team collaboration.
  

Who You Are (Requirements)

Must-Have Technical Experience:

• 4–7 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW/BI

  , including Data Modeling, Data Extraction, and Performance Tuning.
• Strong knowledge of InfoObjects, DSOs, InfoCubes, MultiProviders, InfoSources, Process Chains, PSA, DTP, and Transformations.
  
• Experience with

  POSDM integration

  ,

  LO Cockpit

  , and

  data extraction

  across modules like SD, MM, FICO.
• Familiarity with front-end reporting using

  BEx Query Designer

  ,

  Analyzer

  , and

  Web Application Designer

  .
• Experience with

  SAP BusinessObjects (WebI, Universe Designer, Dashboards, Design Studio)

  .
• Solid understanding of

  R/3 and ECC 6.0

  , plus working knowledge of integration with

  Navision

  ,

  GCP

  , and

  SAP BODS

  .
