Key Responsibilities

Perform full lifecycle BASIS duties—installations, upgrades, patching, and configuring ECC and S/4HANA systems (on-prem & cloud).
Administer SAP HANA (and Oracle as needed), including tuning, backups, recovery, user management; maintain Linux/UNIX/Windows servers.
Deploy and manage SAP Solution Manager; proactively monitor and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Enforce SAP security best practices—SSO, transports, users, roles, system hardening.
Coordinate SAP transports, change control, and promote code across development, QA, and production environments.
Design, validate, and execute DR exercises; ensure readiness with Failover Testing and H/A strategies.
Develop and maintain automated tools for system health checks, install workflows, parameter management, crash recovery.
Offer 2nd/3rd-tier support to functional and technical teams; resolve incidents, root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
Maintain system configurations, runbooks, environment diagrams, and technical SOPs.
Participate in SAP landscape design discussions, integration efforts (Azure, AWS), and cross-functional projects.
Provide 24×7 support coverage on a rotational basis, ensuring system availability and rapid incident resolution.

Required Qualifications

7 years’ SAP BASIS experience, including S/4HANA (preferably since <2020 release) and/or ECC landscape.
Hands-on with SAP NetWeaver, SAP Solution Manager, and Transport Management System (CTS+).
Proficient with SAP HANA, Linux (or Unix), Windows Server environments; exposure to AWS/Azure cloud desirable.
Strong knowledge of database administration, backup strategies, performance tuning.
Solid scripting skills with Bash, PowerShell, or similar.
Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to produce root cause analysis and documentation.
Familiarity with SAP security framework including SSO, GRC, and role/user provisioning.
SAP certifications like SAP Certified Technology Associate (Basis) are a strong plus.
