Sap Ariba Consultant L2

Role & responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 / Level 3 functional support for key SAP Ariba modules, including:
• Ariba Buying & Invoicing (P2P / Downstream Process)
• Sourcing
• Contracts
• Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP) optional
• Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) and Commerce Automation – good to have or ability to quickly learn and support
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex functional and integration issues between SAP Ariba and SAP ERP (MM/SRM) systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring or critical issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
• Collaborate with procurement, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure timely incident resolution and delivery of change requests.
• Work closely with L1 support teams for ticket escalation, training, and documentation handover.
• Raise and manage Service Requests (SRs) with SAP Ariba and other vendors, ensuring closure within defined SLAs.
• Support testing efforts for system upgrades, patches, and new functionality (UAT, regression testing).
• Maintain and update support documentation, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
• Execute minor configuration changes, such as approval workflows, user roles, templates, and catalog management.
• Monitor system performance and proactively address issues across integrated Ariba modules.
• Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities in alignment with ITIL best practices.

Technical & Functional Expertise:

• Strong expertise in Ariba Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing, and Supplier Management modules.
• Proven experience supporting Downstream processes and Ariba–SAP ERP integration via CIG or middleware.
• Working knowledge of Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) and Commerce Automation scenarios.
• Ability to analyze Ariba API logs, manage interface errors, and resolve integration issues.
• Proficiency in workflow debugging, approval rule configuration, and template maintenance.
• Experience with Ariba Network, supplier onboarding, and transaction troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy) for incident and change tracking.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Exposure to global implementations or multi-country Ariba landscapes preferred.
• Ability to create and deliver knowledge transfer sessions for L1 support and business users.
