Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Investigating and resolving complex issues within the SAP APO landscape, including optimizer performance and planning procedure failures. This involves analyzing root causes and implementing solutions.
Managing end-to-end incident resolution, from initial report to final resolution, ensuring timely and effective responses to user issues within SLAs
- System Monitoring and Maintenance:
Monitoring SAP APO system performance, identifying potential issues, and implementing proactive measures to prevent future problems. This includes managing process chains, background jobs, and automated planning runs.
- Configuration and Optimization:
Configuring and optimizing SAP APO modules (DP, PPDS & GATP) and optimizers (PP/DS optimizer) to enhance planning efficiency and meet business requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication:
Working closely with business users and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure seamless integration with other SAP modules.
Supporting SAP APO projects, including upgrades, enhancements, and new implementations. This involves contributing to project planning, design, testing, and go-live activities.
- Training and Documentation:
Developing and delivering training materials and documentation for end-users on SAP APO functionalities and processes.
- Solution Design and Implementation:
Developing and implementing solutions based on business requirements, including creating Business Blueprint (BPP) documents and Functional design documents.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Developing reports and dashboards using Bex Analytics to provide insights into sales forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance.
Keeping abreast of the latest SAP APO releases, best practices, and industry trends.
Potentially leading and mentoring junior consultants, providing guidance and support on technical and functional aspects of SAP APO.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of SAP APO modules (DP & PPDS, GATP)
- Good understanding of integration with SAP ECC and SAP ME/MI.
- Proficiency in configuring and customizing SAP APO systems.
- Experience with SAP APO optimizers (PP/DS).
- Experience with CIF (Common Information Framework) for integrating SAP APO with other modules.
- Experience in designing and implementing planning procedures and planning books.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with system testing, including test case creation and execution.
Relevant SAP certifications are preferred.
