SAP and HANA Basis Administrator

Key Competencies & Skills required Technical:

• SAP Basis administration on complex system landscapes including the database systems
• Support of SAP Java based applications
• System optimisation, system maintenance and system support
• Planning, installation, configuration of various SAP products (Solman, Fiori, ECC, FS-CD, CRM, Solution Manager, NetWeaver, SAP HANA, Business Connector)
• Installation and commissioning of SAP systems
• SAP system copies
• Performance management in the SAP and SAP HANA environment
• Updating/maintenance of the SAP operational documentation
• Basic technical consulting for SAP projects such as the introduction of new SAP systems, upgrades with database migration, etc.
• Processing customer enquiries
• 2nd and 3rd level support in the SAP Basis environment
• Planning, control and implementation of SAP life cycle management (hotfixes, patches, upgrades, release)
• 24x7 call on duty for SAP and SAP HANA operations

Technical:

• Experience in large SAP enterprise-level installations with SAP HANA and MS SQL Server as databases
• Distinct SAP HANA and S/4 HANA experience
• Knowledge of server infrastructure
• Experience with applications on different platforms (SAP & SQL on Windows, Hana on Red Hat Linux)
• Knowledge of scripting languages, especially Powershell and Python

• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Nice to have some level of German language skills
