Role & responsibilities

SAP ABAP developer is an offshore role responsible for the development and maintenance of the companys SAP applications, interfaces, and programs.

• In this role, the individual will participate across multiple SAP work streams including FICO and will apply proven communication, analytical, technical, and problem solving skills to resolve issues and develop new functionality.
• Additional responsibilities include participation in managed projects, perform assigned technical tasks based on established delivery dates, communicate updates weekly, and provide immediate project status updates.
• The role requires a high-level of client service and support through demonstrated responsiveness and accuracy.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions

• Code, Test, Debug, Document and Support of the SAP Application Suite.
• Work as part of a team environment to address "on call" situations such as system unavailability, loss of functionality, or emergency break-fix scenarios.
• Deliver high-quality and efficient solutions to business processes through innovative approaches.
• Work closely with the Onsite/offshore team on various development objects related to Projects, Enhancements and Incidents.

• Extensive experience with Classical/Interactive Reports, BDC, RFC, logical databases, Module Pool , BAPI, SAP Scripts, Smart forms and Adobe Forms.
• Strong knowledge and proven experience writing new and modifying ABAP reports, user exits, BADI, BTE, and dialogue programming.
• Working knowledge and proven experience in Object Oriented ABAP using ALV Grids, Tree controls, Event handling, Split containers and Class Interfaces.
• Ability to work with business/technical lead's to turn requirements into quality, working ABAP code.
• SAP Authorization experience in ABAP and understanding of the authorization concept in ECC.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional environment as well as work independently
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Adept at managing multiple priorities under time constraints Team spirit and strong communication skills
• Customer- and service-oriented, confident appearance in an international environment
