  • Ability to create and modify

    Function Modules

     and

    User Exits

2. Data Dictionary

  • Strong knowledge of creating and maintaining:
    • Tables
    • Structures
    • Views
    • Data Elements
    • Domains
    • Search Helps
    • Lock Objects
  • Use of

    runtime analysis (SE30)

     and

    SQL trace (ST05)

    .
  • Internal table optimization using proper types, keys, and buffering techniques.

4. Modularization Techniques

  • Usage of:
    • Includes
    • Subroutines
    • Function Modules
    • Methods/Classes (OOP in ABAP)
  • Batch Data Communication (BDC) using Call Transaction & Session methods.
  • Experience with

    Legacy System Migration Workbench (LSMW)

     for data upload.

6. Enhancements & Modifications

  • Knowledge of:

    • User Exits

    • Customer Exits

    • BADI (Business Add-Ins)

    • Enhancement Points

    • Implicit/Explicit enhancements
  • Proficient in using the

    ABAP Debugger

  • Awareness of how workflows/IDOCs integrate with ABAP (good to have).
