Marketing Development Officers (MDOs)

• Possess a strong local network and rapport with A-class distributors and retailers.
• Are looking to transition from marketing to a sales role, with full responsibility for their own territory, sales targets, and channel network.
• Have not yet been given an opportunity to handle sales responsibilities in their current organization but possess the potential, product knowledge, and local market expertise to excel in sales.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Appoint and manage distributors and retailers within the assigned territory.
• Achieve monthly and seasonal sales targets for seeds and pesticides.
• Conduct product demonstrations, field visits, and farmer meetings.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new channel partners.
• Report market intelligence, competitor activities, and demand forecasts to the Head Office.
• Coordinate with the marketing team for promotional and branding initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 5 years as a Marketing Development Officer (MDO) or Field Assistant in a seed or pesticide company.
• Strong network among A-class distributors and retailers in the local market.
• Good understanding of crops, seasons, and farmer requirements.
• Self-motivated, field-oriented, and target-driven personality.
• Qualification: B.Sc. (Agri) / M.Sc. (Agri) preferred; candidates with relevant agri-input experience may also apply.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
