Job Description

As an Area Manager at Medtronic, your role involves promoting and selling Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets. You will be responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders, including distributors and healthcare professionals. Your duties will include pursuing leads, assessing needs, and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and services. Additionally, you will promote and establish education of the company's products and services and conduct market research, including customers" and competitors" activities. You will also implement market development plans/strategies and communicate customer feedback on new products or modifications to internal stakeholders such as R&D, Operations, and Marketing. Key Responsibilities: - Promote and sell Medtronic's products and services to meet or exceed sales targets - Develop and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders - Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services - Promote and establish education of company's products and services - Conduct market research and implement market development plans/strategies - Communicate customer feedback on new products or modifications to internal stakeholders As a seasoned sales professional managing large accounts involving multiple team members, you will work autonomously with limited supervision. Your impact on achieving departmental sales results will be significant, and you may contribute to the development of goals for the department. You will drive adoption and penetration in accounts and make improvements to sales processes and tools to enhance performance. Additionally, you will recommend changes in account strategy and tactics to achieve sales goals and demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
