Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Varanasi. As a Sales Manager (B2B) in the power industry, your main responsibilities will include managing sales operations, developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying customer needs, generating revenue, and maintaining customer relationships specifically for high horse power Gensets ranging from 320 KVA to 2020 KVA. Additionally, you will lead a team of sales representatives, providing training to help them achieve sales targets. To be successful in this role, you should have a background in sales, business development, or marketing with 7-10 years of experience in the power industry. You must possess the ability to engage with multiple stakeholders in collaboration with internal teams. Establishing local customer intimacy through connections at the executive level and with key decision makers within customer organizations is crucial. Key skills required for this role include proficiency in sales and marketing, familiarity with Gensets, cranes, plant machinery, transformers, heavy equipment, and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong sales and marketing skills, experience in developing and implementing sales strategies, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capacity to build and maintain customer relationships effectively. Experience in managing sales teams, developing sales representatives, negotiating, and closing deals is essential. As part of the Sales & Business Development department in the power (hydro) industry, you will be responsible for analyzing sales trends, developing effective sales strategies, and optimizing existing ones. You will be required to implement the company's sales policies at the field level, enforce disciplinary actions, hire and train sales teams in different regions to meet sales goals, and collaborate with other teams, particularly marketing, to gather and nurture leads. Education-wise, a graduate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a diploma with an MBA, is preferred. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or a related field is also acceptable.
