Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Engineer located in Kanpur. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales operations, developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying customer needs, generating revenue, and maintaining customer relationships specifically for high horse power (320 KVA - 2020 KVA) Genset business. Additionally, you will lead a team of sales representatives, providing them with the necessary training to achieve sales targets. The ideal candidate should possess a background in sales, business development, or marketing with 4-10 years of work experience in the power industry. An essential requirement for this role is the ability to engage multiple stakeholders in collaboration with respective internal teams. Successful candidates will demonstrate a track record of establishing local customer intimacy by building connections at the executive level and engaging with key decision-makers within customer organizations. This role falls under the designation of Sales Manager (B2B) within the Power (Hydro) industry, specifically in the Sales & Business Development department. As part of the job responsibilities, you will be required to analyze sales trends across the industry to develop effective strategies and optimize existing ones. Implementation of the company's sales policies at the field level, including the enforcement of disciplinary actions, will be a key aspect of this role. Moreover, you will be responsible for hiring and training sales teams in various regions to meet sales goals. Collaboration with other departments, such as marketing, to gather and nurture leads is also a crucial part of this role. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a diploma with an MBA. Key skills required for this position include Sales and Marketing, expertise in Gensets, Cranes, Plant Machinery, Transformers, Heavy Equipment, and Heavy Machinery. Strong sales and marketing skills, along with experience in developing and implementing sales strategies, are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary for building and maintaining customer relationships. Previous experience in managing a sales team, as well as the ability to develop sales representatives, will be advantageous. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or a related field.,
